Background

The Samsung Equity Equivalent Investment Programme (EEIP) Research and Development Academy is collaborating with the *Limpopo Digital Innovation (R&D) Lab – Sponsored by Samsung* to provide an exciting opportunity for young, previously disadvantaged individuals between the ages of 18-35.

The academy aims to equip these individuals with essential skills in software development, as well as digital social innovation.

Do you qualify for this course? Please check below:

  • Are you a previously disadvantaged South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 35?
  • Are you available for a full-time course (Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30)?
  • Do you hold a Matric qualification?
  • Have you recently completed your studies?
  • Are you currently unemployed?

Are you highly motivated to make a difference to our country by solving societal problems using innovative digital technology?

We are looking for young people with a real passion to make a difference!

How do we support you?

All selected students will receive full tuition waivers, monthly support stipends and access to all course material, software, student support systems and tools at no cost to them.

What will you learn?

Introduction to Digital Social Innovation for Impact (starting in March 2024) is a twelve-month course focused on teaching design-thinking methodologies and social innovation techniques for designing innovative and appropriate digital solutions.

Participants will not only receive an accredited certificate, but will develop their industry network, as well as skills in multi-disciplinary teamwork and problem-solving skills within a real-life context.

You will join them in March 2024 and work in multi-disciplinary teams to build new solutions to the real societal challenges.

Build a portfolio of evidence that can enhance your skills, experience and employability.
