The University of Limpopo is proud to host the 4th Ellisras Longitudinal Study and Other Non-Communicable Diseases Studies International Conference (4th ELSONCDSIC), scheduled to take place from 25 to 27 November 2025.
Themed: Non- communicable diseases as a silent killer: Is it Witchcraft?
This prestigious event will unfold over two venues: the University of Limpopo on 25–26 November and Radibaki School in Kauletsi Village, Ga-Seleka, Lephalale on 27 November.
The conference seeks to challenge cultural perceptions and ignite critical discourse around the growing impact of non- communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cardiovascular illnesses.
The conference provides a unique platform for ordinary members of the Ellisras community, academic scholars, students, and professionals from across the globe to engage in meaningful dialogue, share knowledge, and build long-lasting networks. Participants will benefit from an interactive programme aimed at developing cross-cultural competencies and deepening their understanding of the socio-cultural dimensions of health. It is envisioned that the insights gained will empower delegates to make impactful contributions within their own communities.
