Theme: Critical Reflections on Finding Societal Solutions Through Student Research and Innovation
The Faculty of Management and Law will be hosting its 7th Annual Research Day on the 13th and 14th of September 2022. This will be a hybrid event aimed at allowing students to present research work relating to various disciplines across the four schools in the faculty through oral presentations, poster exhibitions, and discussions.
The papers will be categorised as follows:
- Any general research
- Scholarly work (Articles)
- Research concept papers
Postgraduate students are also invited to submit their dissertations and theses abstracts to showcase their research findings at this event. This is an opportunity to show how postgraduate research fits into the research focus areas and objectives of the faculty.
Abstract Guidelines
The abstract, written in English, should not be longer than 350 words and must be written in the past tense. The abstract should give a succinct account of the research purpose, motivation, objectives, methods, main findings, and practical/managerial implications and contribution/value-add. The abstract should be Arial, with 1.5 spacing and 12 font size. Including five (5) keywords.
Due Date for Abstracts and Full Papers are as follows:
- The due date for Abstract submission is 17 June 2022.
- The due date for Full Papers submission is 31 July 2022.
Winning Papers Awards
The best paper presented will receive Prize Award as follows:
First Prize: R 12 000.00
Second Prize: R 7 000.00
Third Prize: R 5 000.00
Other presented papers will have an opportunity to be published in a special issue, academic journal publication, and research proceedings.
