The University of Limpopo (UL) and the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) are poised to celebrate a significant milestone with a ceremony marking the official launch of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This MoU symbolises a strategic partnership between the School of Economics and Management and SEDA, aimed at fostering entrepreneurial growth and innovation.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to empower students, communities, and lecturers with essential entrepreneurial skills and knowledge that will enable them to successfully start and manage their ventures utilizing SEDA’s comprehensive array of products and services.
The partnership will focus on several key areas:
- Raising awareness and deepening understanding of SEDA’s diverse offerings and effective delivery model within the business ecosystem.
- Enhancing the competencies of students, community members, and academic staff to stimulate the creation of new small businesses and to optimise the performance of existing enterprises through specialized training programmes and a suite of non-financial support services.
- Delivering valuable mentorship and coaching opportunities through the extensive SEDA Network, ensuring that budding entrepreneurs receive guidance from experienced professionals.
- Engaging in research initiatives and cultivating business skills development to keep pace with the evolving landscape of entrepreneurship.
