The Faculty of Management and Law at the University of Limpopo offers a range of engaging postgraduate programmes through the Department of Development Planning and Management
These programmes are designed to develop future leaders in sustainable planning, research, and policy. With areas of specialisation that include urban and rural development, project management, environmental management, land use management, spatial development planning, and policy analysis, students are prepared to address pressing development challenges at local, national, and global levels.
 Bachelor of Development Honours in Planning & Management
Duration: Minimum 1 year – Maximum 2 years
Admission Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in development planning and management, development Studies, or related field (NQF Level 7).
- A minimum average of 60% in the final year subjects/modules.
Master of Development in Planning & Management
Duration: Minimum 1 year – Maximum 3 years
Admission Requirements:
- Honours qualification in Development Planning & Management, Development Studies, Or Related Field   (NQF Level 8).
- A minimum average of 60% in the modules of the honours qualification or NQF level 8 qualification.
Doctor of Administration
*Specialising in Development Planning and Management
Duration: Minimum 2 years – Maximum 4 years
Admission Requirements:
- Master of Development in Planning & Management, Development Studies, or Related Field (NQF Level 9).
