The Rural Development and Innovation Hub (RDIH) presents an Integrated School Support Programme (ISSP).
The ISSP will provide an opportunity for student volunteers who are proficient in CAPS Grade 10-12 Mathematics and Physical Sciences to participate in an integrated school support programme supporting teachers.
Students can volunteer for the programme. The programme aims to assist high school learners with Mathematics and Physical Sciences by offering various forms of support as identified by teachers and learners.
The RDIH offers an opportunity for passionate students to:
- Upscale their ability to work in real-life communities -Assisting school learners with Mathematics and Science subjects.
- Develop Community Engagement Skills
- Learn various methods of delivering content using Science Communication.
- Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be awarded a CE certificate and a letter of recommendation to a future employer.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR PARTICIPATION?
- Students must be proficient and fluent in the identified subjects.
- Students must be able to relay information in a simplified manner using a variety of methods.
- Students must live near or on campus because they will be transported to schools to teach.
