Partnership Agreement between Save University and the University of Limpopo

The University of Limpopo (UL) and Save University (UniSAVE) are set to celebrate a significant milestone with a ceremony to officially launch a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration aims to enhance academic, scientific, and administrative cooperation across various fields, including Social Sciences, Humanities, Science, Technology, Innovation, and Training for Development. This partnership began in 2023.

Key Areas of Collaboration

Academic and Scientific Cooperation
The agreement paves the way for joint initiatives, including the organization of short courses, seminars, conferences, and congresses. It further supports the development and implementation of research and extension projects, as well as the supervision of dissertations and theses.

Exchange Programs
The partnership will facilitate mobility programs for professors, researchers, and postgraduate students, enabling teaching, advanced internships, and knowledge-sharing. In addition, the collaboration encourages sports and cultural exchange activities to promote holistic academic engagement.

Capacity Building
Both institutions will collaborate in the training of teachers, researchers, and administrative staff. This includes the joint development of curricula and study plans for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, aimed at improving academic standards and innovation.

Resource Sharing
The agreement allows access to physical facilities, equipment, laboratories, and bibliographic materials at both institutions. There will also be an exchange of scientific publications to promote knowledge transfer.

Intellectual Property
Collaborative work will result in joint ownership of intellectual property. Both universities will also be involved in the dissemination of teaching materials and technological information.

Coordination and Financial Arrangements
The Cooperation Units of both institutions will oversee the coordination of all activities. Funding will be sought from internal and external sources, with no direct transfer of financial resources between the parties.

Duration of Agreement
The partnership will remain valid for five years and may be renewed for equal periods, subject to the mutual consent of both institutions.
