Student Email Migration: myTurf domain

Exciting news, Turfloopers! The University of Limpopo is enhancing your digital journey with a powerful upgrade to the student email experience. Say goodbye to the old Keyaka and Yamina email domains — and say hello to the sleek, efficient, and secure MyTurf email system.

This migration promises to revolutionise how you connect, communicate, and collaborate online, with improved access, increased storage, enhanced security features, and smoother Microsoft Teams integration.

The migration will take place from June 30, and all students are advised to back up their important files in preparation for the transition. This is more than just a routine change; it’s a leap toward a smarter, more user-friendly digital environment tailored for academic success and student support.

To ensure a smooth and successful migration, the University is inviting currently registered students to become early adopters of the new system. As a student, you’ll get priority access to the MyTurf platform, receive personalised guidance, and play a key role in shaping the future of student IT services at UL.

Throughout the migration period, technical support and user assistance will be available to guide you every step of the way. Keep an eye on your student portal and university communication channels for important updates, and make sure you’re ready to move smart with MyTurf.

Please be advised that from 7 July 2025, all registered students will be fully reachable via the new @myturf.ul.ac.za domain. The old @keyaka.ul.ac.za Student mailboxes will be decommissioned shortly thereafter and should no longer be used for official communication.

To assist with communication, we have provisioned a set of functional distribution groups to enable direct and targeted emailing to various student segments and faculties.
