The University of Limpopo’s 2026 Autumn Graduation Ceremonies mark a momentous celebration in the academic journey of countless graduates, showcasing their hard work and determination. Beginning on Tuesday, 07 April 2026, these ceremonies have transformed into a vibrant tapestry of achievement and hope, culminating on 15 April 2026.

On the notable day of Saturday, 11 April 2026, the esteemed University Chancellor, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, proudly conferred 29 doctoral degrees and 258 master’s degrees. This impressive number underscores the University’s expanding role in the realm of advanced research and knowledge creation, illuminating its commitment to fostering intellectual growth.
One of the most commendable highlights of the ceremonies is the Faculty of Health Sciences, which has produced a remarkable new cohort of healthcare professionals. This includes 56 skilled medical doctors, 76 dedicated pharmacists, 60 compassionate nurses, and 47 insightful optometrists. These graduates carry the promise of improving South Africa’s healthcare landscape, particularly in rural and underserved communities where access to medical services is crucial.
The ceremonies also proudly celebrate diversity and inclusivity, welcoming approximately 19 students with disabilities among the graduating class. Their achievements serve as a powerful reminder of the University’s commitment to inclusivity and representation, demonstrating that education is a pathway for all.
These graduates are not merely degree holders; they represent the next generation of change-makers, armed with the knowledge and expertise necessary to tackle the complex challenges facing society today. Their contributions are poised to shape various sectors, from governance and science to technology and education.
