At long last, the moment everyone has been eagerly anticipating has finally arrived. After countless sleepless nights filled with studying, unwavering dedication, and relentless hard work, the culmination of this journey is about to be celebrated!
The University of Limpopo (UL) is excited to announce the upcoming 2026 Spring Graduation Ceremonies, a momentous occasion that honours the achievement of students who have devoted years of effort toward their academic goals. This significant milestone not only represents personal success but is also a testament to the unwavering support provided by family and friends throughout this journey. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates, their families, and loved ones for standing by them through this remarkable endeavor.
At this prestigious ceremony, the University will proudly award the certificates and diplomas, and confer degrees, recognising both undergraduate and postgraduate achievements. Each graduate’s hard work will be acknowledged as we embrace this significant rite of passage.
For those who cannot attend in person, the ceremony will be broadcast and streamed live on the university’s official YouTube channel, and moments shared throughout our social media platforms, allowing friends, families, and supporters to join in the celebration from anywhere.
To be eligible for graduation, all students must fulfill the requirements of their degree or diploma and ensure settlement of all outstanding fees before the ceremony. Please allow 3-5 working days for transactions to reflect on the university’s account.
The university encourages all eligible students to contact the Graduation Office or use the official student portal to confirm their graduation status.
Important notes:
- Each graduand is permitted to bring a maximum of STRICTLY TWO GUESTS.
- Children under five (5) years of age will not be allowed into the graduation hall.
- A fee of R 1 340.00 will be charged for receiving a Diploma/Degree certificate in absentia.
- No change of names on the certificate will be considered after the graduation ceremony.
- Only official University photographers will be allowed in the hall.

Graduation Attire
Dippenaar & Reikecke Outfitters is the ONLY University official supplier of academic attire/gowns. They are located at 752 Park Street, Arcadia, Pretoria, 0083. Graduates can either purchase or hire their gowns through the approved supplier, and they are encouraged to make arrangements well in advance to avoid any last-minute rush.

Photography
To capture this milestone moment, Gordon Harris has been appointed as the official graduation photographer, offering professional photo-shoots for graduates and their families. Photography packages and booking details will be shared through official university channels.
Going Green: Your Digital Programme
In our continued effort to be more environmentally friendly and provide easy access for everyone, we will no longer provide printed programmes at the venue. Instead, you can access the ceremony details in two ways:
- Scan on Arrival: Use the QR codes posted at the venue to view the programme instantly on your phone.
- Download Early: The programme will be available for download two days before your ceremony on the University website and official social media platforms. We encourage you to download it and share the link with your loved ones who couldn’t join us in person.
