The Department of Nursing Science, together with the Student Health and Wellness Centre at University of Limpopo, warmly invites all students and staff to join the celebration of International Nurses Day 2026. This important occasion recognises the dedication, resilience, and life-saving contributions of nurses within our healthcare system and across communities.
The event will take place on 15 May 2026 at 08:00 in Onkgopotse Tiro Hall, where the university community will gather to reflect on the essential work of nurses and acknowledge their ongoing commitment to improving health outcomes. This year’s theme, “Our Nurses, Our Future: Empowered Nurses Save Lives,” underscores the importance of empowering nurses to strengthen healthcare delivery and enhance patient care. It also highlights the need for continued support, professional development, and recognition of those at the forefront of health services.
All members of the university community are encouraged to attend and take part in honouring the vital role that nurses play in shaping a healthier society.
