The University of Limpopo Turfloop Graduate School of Leadership is pleased to invite the university community and the broader public to the Leadership & Sustainability Dialogue in celebration of Africa Month. This year’s dialogue is guided by the theme “African Cultural Economy and Business Opportunities in the Context of Current Global Conflicts”, reflecting on Africa’s position, resilience, and potential within the rapidly shifting global landscape. The event aims to encourage critical discussion on leadership, sustainability, African identity, and new pathways for economic and cultural development.
The dialogue will bring together prominent thought leaders who will share insights on the cultural economy, governance, development, and Africa’s role in global affairs. The session will be moderated by Ms. Naledi V. Masango, who will guide a rich and engaging conversation among distinguished guests. The panel will feature Ms. Nhlanhla Mahlangu, Senior Reporter at Channel Africa, and Prof. Collins C. Ngwakwe, Professor at the Turfloop Graduate School of Leadership. The keynote address will be delivered by Adv. Ras. Sipho G. Mantula, a Researcher at the Thabo Mbeki African School of Public and International Affairs and a member of the CRL Commission (2025–2029). Their combined perspectives promise an intellectually stimulating and inspiring dialogue aligned with Africa Month’s spirit of unity, reflection, and progress.
The event will take place on 7 May 2026, from 10:00 to 14:00, at the Edupark Campus, University of Limpopo, with online participation also available. Attendees are encouraged to dress in African Prints to celebrate the continent’s cultural richness. All staff, students, partners, and members of the public are invited to participate in this important engagement that reinforces African knowledge systems, leadership potential, and sustainable development efforts.
