The University of Limpopo’s Technology Transfer Office, through its Digital Hub, is pleased to announce the upcoming SHIDHSS National Awareness and Outreach Event, taking place on Thursday, 19 March 2026, from 08:30 to 15:30 at the Recreational Hall, University of Limpopo.
This strategic outreach engagement aims to raise awareness about the Sector-Focused and Hybrid Incubation and Digital Hub Support Strategy (SHIDHSS), along with other national initiatives that advance entrepreneurship and enterprise development across South Africa. The event will bring together key stakeholders from government, academia, and the national innovation ecosystem to explore opportunities that enhance support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Participants will gain valuable insights into programmes and initiatives designed to drive innovation, incubation, and enterprise development, while fostering meaningful collaboration across ecosystem partners dedicated to building a vibrant and sustainable entrepreneurial landscape.
Students and incubatees are strongly encouraged to attend and discover the various support mechanisms offered through the Department of Small Business Development and other influential stakeholders within the entrepreneurship ecosystem. This engagement will provide practical information on accessing business development support, connecting with key institutions, and navigating opportunities for growth.
This event aligns with broader national efforts to strengthen the role of universities and innovation hubs in nurturing start-ups, empowering entrepreneurs, and advancing sustainable economic development within the province and beyond.
