The University of Limpopo’s Technology Transfer Office (TTO) invites you to celebrate World Intellectual Property (IP) Day 2026, a dynamic platform exploring the powerful intersection between innovation and sport.
Taking place on 24 April 2026 at the Recreational Hall (RCH) and Oscar Mpeta, this year’s theme, “IP & Sports: Ready, Set & Innovate”, highlights how intellectual property drives progress in the sports industry — from performance technologies and data-driven solutions to branding, entrepreneurship, and commercialisation.
The event will bring together students, researchers, innovators, and key industry stakeholders for a day of engagement, insight, and collaboration. Attendees will gain practical knowledge on how to protect their ideas, unlock value from innovation, and navigate pathways to commercialisation.
This is an opportunity for students and incubates to connect with support systems within the University and its partners, and to better understand how innovation can be translated into real-world impact.
