The Department of Business Management in the School of Economics and Management, under the Faculty of Management and Law at the University of Limpopo, is pleased to announce its upcoming Workers’ Day Webinar taking place on 13 May 2026, from 10:00 to 13:00, on Google Meet.
This important engagement aims to foster dialogue around contemporary labour issues within the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The 2026 webinar will explore the theme “Digital Economy – A Double-Edged Sword for the Workers’ Voice and Protection.” As digital technologies transform workplaces and redefine labour relations, this theme invites participants to critically reflect on the opportunities and challenges workers face in asserting their rights, maintaining job security and navigating new forms of work.
The session will feature insights from experienced practitioners and specialists who will share perspectives on worker representation, digital labour trends and the implications of technological advancement on workplace protection. The discussion promises to be thought-provoking and relevant to academics, students, labour practitioners and the broader community interested in labour rights and digital transformation.
